Wind Lord Mel'jarak HC!

We did it again! Another boss down! That puts us at 3/6 heroic seeing as we have skipped the first boss again this week to take up some of the easier shit first, and yeah; easy is probably one of the most fitting adjectives to describe the Wind Lord Mel'jarak heroic encounter, it is actually easier than normal mode to be honest.

After 7 tries the boss went down, squashed like the bug it is! We got loot and everyone lived happily ever after, or something! Here is a screenshot of the kill:

Next up this week is Amber-Shaper Un'sok heroic and after this weekly reset we will start on Imperial Vizier Zorlok heroic as well! Bosses need killin'! OAO!

Blade Lord Ta'yak and Garalon HC!

Some more heroic bosses bite the dust in the Heart of Fear. Last week Blade Lord Ta'yak went down after a tad too many tries, more than we had anticipated, but hey; shit happens! The boss was not exactly difficult seeing as all the mechanics on the boss are the same as normal except for one extra mechanic which is not hard to deal with (PS: you press W!) and then as always more damage on the bosses abilities which require you to have some good use of personal and raid cooldowns. Forgot to take a screenshot though we killed it twice (oops!) but he is an ugly fuck anyway!

This week, after oneshotting Blade Lord Ta'yak after our previous weeks sketchy progression, we went on to Garalon heroic! The hard part about this boss is the heavy healing needed while maintaining good dps throughout the fight since the enrage timer is pretty tight! As on normal you have to kite with the pheromones, however on heroic the debuff lasts for 4 minutes so you need more people in order to kite the boss. The crushes are now periodical on a set timer which makes it nice and easy to know when to pop your cooldowns to keep the raid alive! Luckily i did not take us long to get this bitch down and next up is Wind Lord Mel'jarak which should be about the same difficulty! Here is a screenshot of Garalon being very much dead!

Will of the Emperor HC down! Also, ToES normal!

The 3 day raid crusaders did it again! Will of the Emperor heroic has spawned their last Rage, Courage and Strength cause they are fucking dead!

This fight is basically a ball ache from start to finish! You need to coordinate the soaking of Titan Sparks really well while keeping all the adds under control, and still finding the time to get some damage in on the two main bosses in order to kill it before the enrage timer.

So ye, to kill this I (Pittapusay) "had" to log my Hunter alt (Artèmís) in order to make the fight a lot easier because of the control a hunter adds to the fight. The 1 minute cooldown on deterrence and the ability to trap, stun and slow so much makes hunters a clear choice to bring on this fight - even if they do not do a lot of damage!

Other than this little annoyance, we had 1 minute and 30 seconds till the enrage timer and the kill was very clean with consistent tries prior to the actual kill! Good job to all on the kill and FUCK Resurrection for getting MY TRINKET! Here is a screenshot of our achieved glory:

Oh and we cleared Terrace of Endless Spring last week! NOT EVEN HARD! Well, Sha of Fear turned out to be a tad annoying, nice end boss though; interesting fight! Also: FUCK LEI SHI AND ITS HIDE ABILITY!

PEACE OUT!

Elegon Mount and WE HUNGRY!

So as mentioned in the last post, Elegon heroic brought more loot than expected since the mount (Reins of the Astral Cloud Serpent) dropped and our warlock Pvvex won it with the roll of 89 over 88 (and ye that 88 roll was me - Pittapusay - GRRR) . As promised, here is a slightly edited photo of the mount:

Just to show how the real screenshots looked like:

And also to celebrate our victory over Elegon we decided to have a little feast where we invited our friends a fa.... oh wait. Well at least WE HAD SOMETHING TO EAT!

Next week we are sinking our teeth into the Terrace of Endless Spring bosses and hopefully we will clear fast enough so we can go get Will of the Emperor heroic down as well!

HoF Normal - Spirit Kings & Elegon HC!

First off i would like to state that the following is posted in the order which we killed the bosses in, which means the most recent news will be in the end. I am weird - I know! :)

So, a few things has happened since last time! :) First off, last week we managed to get the rest of the Heart of Fear bosses down where Amber-Shaper Un'sok turned out to be the hardest challenge contrary to the last boss (Grand Empress Shek'zeer) which was a bit of a let down on normal anyway.

Overall, it seems as if Blizzard has picked up the ball, which they seemed to have dropped in Cataclysm, since both the Mogu'shan Vaults and now the Heart of Fear raids have been pretty fun and pretty challenging.

Here is a screenshot of the last boss. Good job to all the guys in the guild!

More recent news; We killed the Spirit Kings and Elegon on heroic mode in Mogu'shan Vaults. Spirit Kings being by far the most challenging boss we have downed so far and according to many also the hardest boss in the entire Mogu'shan Vaults. Elegon only required a slight change to the tactic and with current gear levels the damage requirement was hardly any challenge at all with our very skilled dps-team! Godd job to all the guys on the kills!

Spirit Kings was a very challenging fight because of the high movement and coordination needed on the fight - it is the kind of boss where one player making a mistake can easily result in a wipe. As always, the damage requirement did not end up being a challenge for us since we had one minute left on the timer until enrage - but then again we do have pretty decent gear by now. The most annoying part of the encounter is actually the pull, resetting the fight so that Subetai the Swift spawns second since this makes the first transition much easier to handle than any of the other boss combinations. The order we killed them in was: Qiang the Merciless -> Subetai the Swift -> Meng the Demented -> Zian of the Endless Shadow.

Here is a screenshot of the Spirit Kings biting the dust!

Next up after Spirit Kings was Elegon! We killed Spirit kings after two hours on  our Thursday raid night - we obviously spent more time overall on the boss - and decided to go for Elegon straight away since we were all high on dopamine. After one hour and 40 minutes Elegon went down as well - by then we were drunk on dopamine.

Elegon did not turn out to be a big challenge since the only real difference is that you have to soak the total annihilation with one person by standing outside as the add explodes which was not really that challenging. We made a rotation for it and other than that, it was still a damage oriented fight where you need to maximize your damage per second in the last phase in order to live before healers go out of mana. Profitable raid! WE LIKE! Also, the mount dropped which went to our mighty warlock Pvvex (screenshot will be comming up later once he has farmed the rep to be able to mount it - LOL) :)

Here is a screenshot of our Elegon kill! Another one bites the dust!
